Hi! And welcome.

I'm a freelance writer and editor. In the past I've been a senior writer at the food website Epicurious and the deputy editor of the Chicago Reader, where I oversaw arts and culture coverage and acted as the paper's copy chief. I'm currently an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee; I live in Savannah, Georgia.

My work has appeared in the LA Review of Books, the Awl, the Chicago TribuneChicago magazine, and elsewhereIf you go to the clips page you'll see that I've written a bit about food, literature, visual art, history, and a bunch of other stuff besides.
